Awali is a one-(wo)man project of Tamara Sofia Shmidt, an independent cosmopolitan musician based in Prague. Her music is a mixture of delicate vocals, synth and intricate sound experiments. She sensitively weaves piano, intimate vocal lines and field recordings with experimental electronic. Awali creates journeys to the ethereal soundscapes of unseen stories about stormy sea, cosmic whales, wind in the trees and of course love, death and hope.
